Attractions
Castle Drogo (National Trust)

Castle Drogo is the last castle to be built in Britain. The castle has a medieval atmosphere with bare granite and tapestry hung walls. It also has formal gardens and a croquet lawn

Buckland Abbey (National Trust)

Founded in 1278, the church was converted into a tudor home after the dissolution of monasteries and sold to Sir Francis Drake. Drake's descendants owned the Abbey until the 1940's.

       
Dartmoor Prison Museum

Dartmoor Prison has a fascinating history and the museum well worth a visit.Situated just 150 yds from HMP  Dartmoor.
  Morwellham Quay Tavistock

I took my daughter and mother, only 20 minutes drive from Two Bridges, we had a lovely walk dressed up in Victoran costumes. I had no idea it used to be Englands busiest port  and more recently was a BBC seried The Edwardian Farm. Can reccomend their pub The Ship Inn for lunch.
 
       
Letterboxing

Letterboxing is a combination of treasure hunting and orienteering.Where predetermined clues are
used to locate boxes placed all
over The Moor.The boxes contain a visitors book and rubber stamp. By the way Two Bridges reception have various stamps.Perfect for children and adults alike.

Join one of our The Dartmoor Rangers guided walks and learn about the history, folklore and archeology of The Moor. Book one of our walking breaks and enjoy a free guided walk. 
       
Minature Pony Centre
Get really close to our adorable Miniature
Shetland ponies and Miniature
Mediterranean donkeys that foal throughout the spring and early summer.  And with plenty of other animals to see, a daily programme of activities
(including a daily birds of prey display), indoor and outdoor play areas, a wealth of wildlife, and more, there is so much for visitors to enjoy.
High moorland visitor centre
The High Moorland Visitor Centre is an ideal place to start your visit to Dartmoor.  There is FREE admission to the Centre, where you will find extensive, modern, interpretative displays that provide wonderful insights to Dartmoor, its history, culture and wildlife, as well as a gallery with regularly changing exhibitions.

  National marine aquarium
Visit the UK's largest aquarium and be amazed by the fascinating underwater world.
Combine your visit with a River Cruise to Mount Edgecombe..

Mount Edgecombe
Former Home of The Earls of Mount Edgecombe, set within 865 acres of Country Park . Reccommended trip.. we took the boat from The Mayflower steps in Plymouth enjoyed a cruise up The River Tamar and they dropped us off at Mount Edgecombe.We spent hours exploring the formal gardens and grounds,loved The Camellia Collection, breathtaking views, histric buildings and even a fort !We had tea at Ther Orangery tea rooms then made our way back to the boat.
