TUESDAY 2

(Prewley) A mixture of easy walking and rough open moorland as you explore the industrial past and ponder stories of a perambulating Bishop. Distance 8m/13km ***

SUNDAY 7

10:00: 4hr Walk, Tyrwhitt's Horse-drawn Railway (Princetown) A circular walk along the route of the Princetown Railway to re-discover the line of Tyrwhitts original horse-drawn tramway to princetown.  Visitng the quarries at Foggintor, Ingra Tor and Swell Tor on the line looking at the reasons behind the differences in the eventual GWR route across the moors. Distance 6m/10km **

10:00: 5hr Walk, Medieval Landscape and Tramway (Hound Tor) Explore the landscape either side of the Becka Brook. Distance 7m/11km **

WEDNESDAY 10

10:30: 4hr Walk, Bronze, Tin, Peat, Clay, Granite and Man (Ivybridge, meet in the Park and Ride car park)  The south moor is rich in its history, discover more on this walk which takes you out to Western Beacon, Spurrells Cross and Butter Brook. This walk is timed to coincide with trains and buses arriving at the station. Distance 6m/13km ***

10:30: 4.5hr Walk, Water, Rocks and Railway Lines (Lydford High Down) An excursion to Doe Tor Brook to its scource, exploring the remains of tin mines and visiting Great Links Tor on the way to the old peat railway and a Tiger's haunt. Distance 6m/10km **

09:45: 6hr Walk, Widecombe Skyline (Widecombe-In-The-Moor) Discover the archaeology to be found on Hameldown and Chinkwell ridges.  Walkers need to be fit and well equipped. Distance 9.5m/15km ***

(Burrator Quarry) A circular walk heading out on the old railway line towards Lowry and Cross Gate and returning via Norsworthy bridge and Sheepstor. Distance 5m/8km *
