Chef Careers in Devon
If you’re a chef with a some previous experience, or if you’re just starting out in your career, we are always on the lookout for talented, enthusiastic team-players to join our kitchen brigade.
We’re a busy team here at the Two Bridges Hotel, working together to create brilliant experiences for our valued guests, in a stunning setting in the heart of Dartmoor National Park.
Our kitchens are open throughout the day, starting with breakfast for our resident guests, through our busy lunchtime service popular with non-residents out enjoying the beauty of Dartmoor, and into our flagship dinner service where our team’s talents really come to the fore in taking our food to ever new levels.
All of our menus are based around the finest local ingredients of the season, sourced from our local farmers, fishermen and producers, ensuring that our guests always enjoy a true taste of Dartmoor and Devon. From Dartmoor beef, locally reared poultry and best seasonal veg to fabulously fresh sustainable fish and seafood, we aim to make every meal a memorable, distinctive and utterly enjoyable experience for our guests.
We are honoured to have a few prestigious awards to our name, recognising the talents of our chefs and the provenance of our local ingredients. Our two rosettes from the AA are a hard-won accolade, and our trophy cabinet also boasts four consecutive Golds in the annual Taste of the West Awards and, most recently “Best Restaurant” awarded by Food Drink Devon.
From the newly trained Commis Chef, to the more experienced members of our kitchen crew, everyone enjoys the leadership, support and encouragement of our Executive Chef, Mike Palmer. Mike is Dartmoor born and bred, and has a deep understanding of the best ingredients to be found around our patch, and an innovative approach to our ever-changing menus.
